1. In a saucepan, add water and the whole spices. Let it boil for 3–4 minutes so the flavors infuse.

2. Add tea leaves and milk. Bring it to a gentle boil.

3. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the chai turns a rich color and aroma develops.

4. Add sugar and stir well. Simmer for another 30 seconds.

5. Strain into cups and enjoy your hot masala chai!
